Big Arsenic Springs

Big Arsenic Campground is a BLM-managed campground located on the rim of the Rio Grande gorge near Questa, New Mexico, within Wild Rivers Recreation Area. The campground features 8 campsites with vault toilets and day-use parking. Sites are spacious and well-spaced, with tables and grills available. The location offers dramatic canyon views and access to the Big Arsenic Springs Trail, which descends steeply to the river and petroglyphs. Camping is first-come, first-served at $7.00/night per site (up to two vehicles). Recreational vehicles under 20 feet can fit in driveways. No drinking water is available on-site; visitors should bring adequate water. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash. The area is open year-round and offers solitude and spectacular natural scenery.
