Bennett Creek Campground

Bennett Creek Campground is a BLM-managed campground located at 7,200 feet elevation along the North Platte River in Carbon County, Wyoming. The campground offers 11 campsites in a scenic riparian setting. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring with grill, sandy tent pad, and parking space. Facilities include vault toilet, hand pump well, boat ramp, day use parking, and bank fishing accessible to persons with disabilities. No pull-through sites. Horses are not permitted. The area features cottonwoods, ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, willows, juniper, and mountain mahogany. Wildlife includes bald eagles, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, wild turkeys, mule deer, mountain lions, grouse, and rattlesnakes. The North Platte River is known for abundant rainbow and brown trout. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Typical operating season is June 1 through November 15, depending on winter conditions.
