Benbow State Recreation Area Campground is located in Humboldt County along the South Fork Eel River, 2 miles south of Garberville on Highway 101. The park consists of about 1,200 acres with 77 campsites in sunny oak groves and shady redwood groves. The campground operates seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Day use area is open year-round. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, picnic tables, fire rings, and firewood for purchase. Two sites have electric hookups. RVs up to 30 feet and trailers up to 24 feet.
