Beaverkill Campground and Day Use Area Beaverkill stream is the attraction for most campers. Most seem to enjoy and prefer the atmosphere created by the location of the campsites along the stream. Amenities: 45 tent and trailer sites, picnic area with tables and grills, flush toilets, hot showers, pay phone, trailer dump station, recycling center, 140 year old covered bridge. Family sites are larger than typical campsites and can usually accommodate up to 12 people, four vehicles, four tents or two hard-wheeled equipment, or one hard-wheeled equipment and two tents. Maximum equipment size and site-specific limitations are listed with the site details. Sites also have up to two picnic tables and two fireplaces/fire rings. This campground has sites that have been selected for restoration. While undergoing restoration the chosen sites will be closed. Beaverkill Campground is located on the Beaverkill trout fishing stream, which flows through the entire developed length of the site. An historic covered bridge, constructed in 1865, spans the stream on the town road. There is a deep pool in the stream adjacent to and underneath this covered bridge, creating a unique and picturesque setting. Our campgrounds become an outdoor classroom for young children (5-13) and their families. Enjoy games and activities to earn a beautiful embroidered patch. Additional Info: 45 tent and trailer sites. Seasonal operation from May 15 to September 7. Reservable sites available.
