Beall Woods State Park Campground
About this site
Beall Woods State Park is located on the banks of the Wabash River in southeastern Illinois and attracts visitors interested in experiencing one of the few remaining tracts of virgin timber east of the Mississippi River. The park features trees 120 feet tall and more than 3 feet in diameter. The campground offers a quiet, relaxing setting with 16 rustic campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Amenities include picnic tables, grills, toilets, drinking water, a dump station, trails, a visitor center with educational exhibits, a fishing lake, and a playground. The campground is located less than a quarter-mile from Beall Woods Lake, which is popular for fishing catfish, bluegill, and sunfish.
