The property was acquired by Itasca County in 1984 from the Boise Cascade Corporation, thanks to a grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund, ensuring its preservation for future generations. Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, and swimming in the clear waters of Bass Lake. The campground fees are competitive with other public campgrounds, providing an affordable option for families and nature lovers alike. Please note that camping visits are limited to fourteen days per camp unit, ensuring a peaceful experience for all guests.
