Basin Lake is accessed via the Basin Lake Trail east of Crystal Mountain Ski Resort in the Norse Peak Wilderness. The trail involves steep sections with eroding gullies and exposure. Campsites are near the water in muddy marshy areas. A long-term restoration project is ongoing; stay on the main trail and camp at least 200 feet from water sources.
