Bartoo Island

Bartoo Island is a rustic boat-in campground on Priest Lake in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The island spans 219 acres and contains 25 total sites (24 single sites and 1 group site) accessible only by boat. Sites are located at an elevation of 2,400 feet and are surrounded by clear waters and towering pine, cedar, and tamarack trees. Individual camp units are distributed across the island with names including Solo 2, South Bartoo, Bartoo Solo, West Sunshine, and Sunshine. Vault toilets and portable toilets are available, but potable water is not. Maximum 10 people per site. Open late May through late October, 24 hours per day. 14-day camping limit. Pets must be leashed. No glass bottles on beaches, no bathing or washing dishes in the lake. Quiet hours 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
