Surrounded by clear waters of Priest Lake, Bartoo Island provides a rustic, boat-accessible camping experience on the peaceful shores of the lake. The campground spans 219 acres and is one of nine islands on Priest Lake, located at an elevation of 2,400 feet. The area is surrounded by towering pine, cedar, and tamarack trees. Wildlife in the area includes bears, deer, and moose. Summers are typically sunny and warm. All sites are only reachable by boat. Open late May through late October, 24 hours per day. 14-day camping limit. Maximum of 10 people per site. Pets must be leashed at all times. No glass bottles on beaches. No bathing or washing dishes in the lake. Quiet hours 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Check-out time is 2:00 p.m. Access via boat launches around Priest Lake; Kalispell Bay Boat Launch is 31 miles north of Priest River on Highway 57.
