Balmorhea Lake

Balmorhea Lake Public Campground is located 2 miles southeast of Balmorhea on the east side of the reservoir. The area features flat terrain with sparse vegetation and is accessible via a one-lane concrete ramp, usually out of water during the summer. Shoreline access is available with adequate boat-launching facilities. A use fee is charged. The campground is open all year, though access can be limited at times due to fluctuating water levels. Nearby attractions include Balmorhea State Park, known for its spring-fed swimming pool, and Davis Mountains State Park, offering hiking opportunities.
