Au Sable East Group Campground
About this site
Au Sable East Group Campground is a primitive backcountry group site for 7-20 people within Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, located 0.2 miles west of Au Sable Light Station and inland from the North Country Trail. The site is surrounded by coniferous forest with access to Lake Superior and views of Grand Sable Dunes. It features one shared fire ring and pit toilet. Water source is Lake Superior. Access via North Country Trail hike or kayaking from Lake Superior. Additional Info: Group size: 7-20 people, up to 10 tents. Permit required and must be displayed on tent. Pack out all trash. Maximum 14 days per year in the lakeshore.
