Atlatl Rock Campground is located within Valley of Fire State Park near Overton, Nevada. Managed by Nevada State Parks, the campground features 44 sites with dramatic red sandstone rock formations as a backdrop. The campground operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted (group campsites may be reserved by calling the park). Each site includes a covered picnic table, fire ring with grill, and water spigot. RV sites accommodate vehicles up to 125 feet. Amenities include restrooms with flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, RV dump station, and a ranger station. Electric and water hookups are available for an additional $10 per night. Base camping fee is $20 per night without hookups, $30 per night with hookups. A 14-day camping limit in a 30-day period is enforced. Cell service is spotty, though WiFi packages are available for purchase. The park is known for its striking red rock formations and ancient petroglyphs.
