Nisga'a Memorial Lava Bed Park features one of Canada's most recent lava flows from approximately 250 years ago. The park offers 16 vehicle-accessible frontcountry campsites, picnic areas, water pump, pit toilets, a Visitor Centre with interpretive programs, interpretive trails, and a boat launch. Campfires are allowed, and pets must be on leash. The park is open with full services from May 9 to October 16; off-season use is user-maintained with no services. Guided tours to Volcano Cone are available by contacting the Nisga'a Visitor Centre. Wilderness camping is not permitted on the lava beds or in the frontcountry.
