Amphitheater Campground is located in the Ouray Ranger District of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests, situated on the mountainside above Ouray, Colorado, with stellar views of the natural rock amphitheater formed by ancient volcanic and glacial activity. The campground offers 35 single-family campsites, including several tent-only sites, each equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. Amenities include vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection. 17 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 35 feet. Reservations available up to 6 months in advance. Additional Info: Open typically from early June to late September. Activities include hiking, biking, and fishing. Max RV length 27-35 feet. Cost $24-$28 per night.
