Nestled on 11 acres of BLM land where the prairie meets the pines, Alkali Creek Horsecamp welcomes equestrians with six thoughtfully equipped campsites. Each site features picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and horse tie lines, plus year-round restrooms and seasonal water service from mid-May through October—everything you need for a comfortable basecamp before hitting the trails into Fort Meade's spectacular backcountry. Free, first-come-first-served camping. Closed during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally (typically three weeks in August).
