Free dispersed camping on BLM land near Roswell, New Mexico, approximately 12 miles from town. Located off Alamo Road, a dirt road accessible by vehicle. The area features flat desert terrain with sparse vegetation and widely spaced sites suitable for tents and RVs. Main road is passable for most RVs, though side roads become rougher with small ditches that may challenge larger rigs. No drinking water, services, or facilities available; pack in and pack out. Excellent cell service from multiple carriers. Temperatures range from 30°F in winter to 95°F in summer. Popular for stargazing due to minimal light pollution.
