A.T. TRAY MOUNTAIN SHELTER (Camping Area) Additional Info: Free USFS shelter built in 1971, capacity 7, located at 4,200 feet elevation (highest shelter in Georgia). Situated 0.2 miles off the Appalachian Trail via a side trail. Features a privy. Water source is a spring located approximately 175 yards from the shelter.
