Stan Murray Shelter is a wood plank structure with capacity for 6 people, located on the north slope of Grassy Ridge in Low Gap. It is 3.3 miles from Carver's Gap towards US19E and 10.4 miles from the north trailhead, at an elevation of 5,050 feet. Previously known as Roan Highlands Shelter, renamed to honor Stan Murray, a long-time TEHCC leader and ATC board member. No privy. Maintained by Tennessee Eastman Hiking and Canoeing Club on USFS land. Spring water source 100 yards east of the AT.
