Blood Mountain Shelter is a rustic, two-room rock structure with a fireplace, built in 1937 by the Civilian Conservation Corps using local stone. Located on the Appalachian Trail summit at 4459 feet, it provides basic shelter for backpackers. No water or restroom facilities are available on site; a privy is located nearby. Capacity for 8 people. Maintained by Georgia Appalachian Trail Club on USFS land.
