004 Bear Meadows Road

Site 004 is a designated roadside campsite within Rothrock State Forest, a 97,000-acre state forest in central Pennsylvania spanning Huntingdon, Centre, and Mifflin Counties. This is a singular, remote site located along Bear Meadows Road (a dirt and gravel forest road) designed for overnight camping in or near a vehicle. The site may accommodate tents, small RVs, or trailers depending on layout. Reservations are required and available up to eleven months in advance through the Pennsylvania State Parks and Forests reservation system. Stays are limited to seven consecutive nights with a mandatory 48-hour break before returning. No developed facilities are available: no electric hookups, water, dump stations, toilets, or trash disposal. Campfires are allowed. Winter access is not guaranteed as state forest roads are not plowed.
